Insect identification is an important part of service of the Extension Service.  As volunteers, the Master Gardeners help with these duties.  In order to help us be more effective in helping you (the person with the unknown insect) we will need some material from you.  

When you collect a specimen, also please collect as much information about the insect as you can.  If you can not take an actually specimen (too fast, might bite or yuck), take photographs, preferably digital (see below).
